More about Yaakov Tzvi's family:

Avraham Palevsky

Yaakov Tzvi Palevsky is currently the patriarch of this tree. According to the March 1921 immigration record of Mirke Putterman Palevsky, Yaakov Tzvi was still living. However, Mirke gave birth to a son in December 1921 and named him Harry, so it's easy to speculate that Yaakov Tzvi died sometime that year.

Yaakov Tzvi's wife was Breine Goldstein aka Bertha Goldberg aka Sarah, depending on which of her children's death records you look at. Several of her grandchildren were named Beatrice, so I'm inclined to believe that Breine is the correct name. Whether her maiden name was Goldberg or Goldstein is still up for debate, but Goldberg seems probable -- there is a Goldberg family who I'm told are cousins, but I haven't found the first clue yet as to how they might link to Breine.

Yaakov Tzvi and Breine had at least 5 children:
Shmuel Dov Palefsky was the eldest, and has descendants in the U.S. and England. One of his children, Yaakov Leib, remained in Kobrin and allegedly perished in the Holocaust.
Chaya Toba aka Ida was married 5 times and, according to family lore, buried all 5 husbands. She had 4 children with Jacob Deutch, though 2 died as children. She also had a daughter named Gertrude with another husband, but nothing else is known about her. Ida's exact date of birth is unknown, but she was around 100 years old when she died, give or take a few years.
Avraham Palevsky married Elke Ruchel Pollack. They had 5 sons who survived to adulthood and allegedly had two other sons who did not. The eldest of the 5, Yeshia Pincus (Benjamin) was my great-grandfather.
Binyamin Palevsky married Mirke Putterman and they had 3 children that I'm aware of. The youngest child was born in NY, but died as a young toddler.
Chasia Dolinsky was named on Ida's immigration record as a sister who remained in Horodetz, so I've made the assumption that she's a Palevsky sibling who married a Mr. Dolinsky. I have not found any other reference to Chasia yet.
