Moshe Palefsky was born on January 2, 1864 to parents Yaakov Palefsky & Rachel Palefsky nee Katz. He married Leah and they had 6 children: Chaya, Jankel, Esther, Cirel, Miriam and Rose. Moshe, Leah and Rose arrived in NY in 1922, destined for their daughter/sister Ida Oremland, while son Jankel Palewski remained in Brest at 20 Topolawa. Moshe was later naturalized. He died in the Bronx on January 5, 1944. Leah died in 1943.

Yankel Chaim (Jake) Palefsky was born around 1885. He married Itke-Khienke Simkhovna in 1906. They had a son Simkhe on November 29, 1906 and a son Paul on July 1, 1910. Yankel arrived in the U.S. for the first time in 1909 (per the 1910 census) and lived with his sister Ida Palefsky Oremland in 1910. He returned to Brest sometime between 1910 and 1922. Yankel and his wife had a 3rd son, Henry, in 1923. Yankel returned to the U.S. again in 1924, this time with his son Symcha, travelling on visas issued in Warsaw. They were destined for his brother-in-law J. Oremblat [sic] at 75 E 110th Street. His wife Chinka Palewska remained in Brest with sons Paul and Henry. Chinka, Paul and Henry then arrived in the U.S. around 1929. Jake died on May 21, 1929 at the age of 42 and is buried at Riverside Cemetery in NJ. The 1930 census shows Jake's family, now known as Jennie, Simon, Paul and Henry, living at 770 East 160th Street in the Bronx. Jennie Glass-Palefsky was laid to rest on December 29, 1970.

Cirl Palewsky immigrated in 1906, at the age of 17, from Brest-Litovsk. She was going to her brother-in-law S. Oremland at 20 Rutgers Place in Manhattan. She was detained for a short time at Ellis Island, then released to her brother-in-law. She married Benjamin Silver around 1913 and they had two sons, born in 1914 and 1920.

Rose was born in Brest and married Joseph Solomon in NY.
