More about Menachem Mendel's family:

Abraham & Celia Palevsky had 13 children in all, with 11 living to adulthood and 2 dying in infancy. Several of the children changed their surnames to Paller.

Izchok (Isadore) Palevsky was born approximately 1887 in Pinsk, Russia to Abraham & Celia. On March 3, 1910, he departed on the S.S. Brandenburg from Bremen, Germany and arrived in Baltimore, Maryland on March 18, 1910. His father, Abram Palewsky, remained in Pinsk and he was going to his uncle A. Levy at 322 Grove Street in St. Paul, Minnesota. Isadore registered for the WWI draft on June 5, 1917 while living in Michigan and working as a painter in Chicago, Illinois. In January 1920, Isadore and his wife Sarah, their 4-month-old son Harry and Isadore's brother Dave were living at 2342 Augusta Street in Chicago. By the 1930 census, Isadore, Sarah, Harry, and two more children were living at 1925½ Hancock Street in Chicago.

Sarah died in Chicago on December 28, 1949. Isadore died in Los Angeles, California on September 27, 1969.

Isadore & Sarah began their lives in the United States as poor Eastern European Jewish immigrants, but they raised children who would eventually leave their marks on the world: Harry as one of the developers of the atomic bomb and another son as a highly successful entrepreneur and more. Stayed tuned for more information.

Aron, Dworja, Scheima, Cipe, Leja, Lajser and Oscher Palewski arrived in New York from Antopol in 1920. They were going to their son/brother Milton Paul at 1809 Lexington Avenue in New York City. In the 1930 census, they are listed as Adolph, Dora, Sam, Sylvia, Leah, Leonard and Alto Paul, living at 915 Prospect Avenue. Aron & Dora married ~1892, according to 1930 census.

Abraham & Aaron had a sister Asne, who married Arke (Harry/Aaron) Levy around 1898 in Kobrin. They had 6 children, Jennie, Gitel, Max, Morris, Esther & Sam. Asne arrived in New York in 1906 with children Scheine (Jennie) and Mendel (Max). Gitel died young in Russia. Between 1906 and 1910, the family moved to St. Paul, Minnesota. Morris, Esther and Sam were born in Minnesota.
